By Kim Lincoln | Jun 19, 2014

Rockland — Regional School Unit 13 Board will meet behind closed doors Monday, June 23 to discuss applicants for administrative positions.

The special meeting begins at 7 p.m. at McLain School. Due to the discussion circulating around personnel matters, the meeting is not open to the public.

Six administrators have resigned from the district since February. They are: Athletic Director Jim Leonard, Oceanside East and West principals Tom Forti and Larry Schooley; Thomaston Grammar and Owls Head Central School principal Susan Stilwell; Business Manager Scott Vaitones' contract is up and will not be renewed.  Former Superintendent Lew Collins resigned in February.

Interim Superintendent Michael Wilhelm will work for the district until June 30. The district has hired Leon Levesque, a longtime superintendent in Lewiston as the next interim superintendent. He begins July 1 and will stay with the district until a permanent replacement is found.
