Rollover in Washington sends driver to hospital
A late morning accident sent a Washington woman to the hospital on Aug. 8.
Donna Dyer of Washington was traveling east on Route 17 in Washington when her Honda Civic went off the road and rolled over. The specific cause of the accident is unknown at this time and is under investigation, said Knox County Deputy Sheriff Matt Elwell. There were no passengers in the car.
A passerby reported the accident at 11:50 a.m. Dyer was able to exit the vehicle unassisted. Union EMS transported Dyer to Pen Bay Medical Center to be treated for broken bones, Deputy Elwell said.
Washington Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The vehicle was totaled in the accident.
