Roland M. Daigneault
Owls Head — Roland Maurice Daigneault, 82, native of Lewiston, died peacefully May 9, 2013 in Owls Head.
Born May 18, 1930, he was the son of Joseph and Edith (Beauchesne).
Roland married Alice (Lemay) in 1948 and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last August. The couple raised their two sons while both working at the same textile mills. A devoted husband, the lifelong Lewiston resident moved with his wife to the Owls Head Homestead just over a year ago.
In addition to his wife, Roland is survived by his brother Henry of Lewiston, two sons, Dan and his wife Carol of Rockport, and David and his wife Joann of Lewiston, one granddaughter, Fayth of Lewiston and four grandsons, Adam of Auckland, New Zealand, Evan of Portland, Ore., Travis of Lewiston, and Caleb of Roxbury, Mass.
He was predeceased by both parents and two brothers, Normand and Robert.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. at St. Peters Cemetery Mausoleum in Lewiston. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to PBHF Hospice Fund, 22 White St., Rockland ME 04841.
