Rockport's Holiday on the Harbor set for Dec. 1

Nov 16, 2012

Rockport — On Saturday, Dec. 1, Rockport will host the second annual Holiday on the Harbor.

At sunset Dec. 1, luminaries, benefiting United Mid-Coast Charities, will line Pascal Avenue from Hoboken Gardens at Route 1, through the village, around to Center for Maine Contemporary Art on Russell Avenue and down to the harbor.

To allow easy viewing, Pascal Avenue will be closed to traffic from West Street to Maine Street from sunset to about 7 p.m. Trolley rides will be made available.

Businesses in the village will be open late that day and caroling will take place at Rockport Harbor. Parking will be easy at the old Rockport Elementary School, with the trolley service stopping at all participating businesses.
