Rockport Halloween parade is annual tradition

Oct 24, 2012

Rockport — A more than 30-year tradition in Rockport will continue on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Children have been gathering at Smith's Garage, now Graffam Brothers Seafood Market, in their costumes to march in a Halloween parade complete with a fire truck and police car, which will be driven this year by Police Chief Mark Kelley.

This annual event is made possible by the courtesy of the Rockport Booster Club and the Rockport Public Library. Goblins parade down Union Street turning the corner ending at the Rockport Opera House where the members of the Rockport Boosters Club, library staff and volunteers help make this a memorable event.

Meet at 5:45 p.m. at Graffam Brothers Seafood Market. Parade begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a Halloween party in the lower level of the Rockport Opera House.
