Rockport Garden Club's Holly Berry Fair
Camden — The much anticipated Holly Berry Fair, put on by the Rockport Garden Club, will take place at a new and spacious venue, the upper level of the Rockport Opera House on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Many unique and lovely handmade gifts and an all-furnished doll house, donated from a local resident, for raffle. It represents a whimsical tale from Mary Norton's book "The Borrowers," when Arrietty gave up her house. There will be other artistic homemade items on raffle.
There will be an array of many tables topped with an assortment of jewelry, cooking and garden books, dried and fresh greenery arrangements, hand-painted chairs and furniture, homemade crafts, Granny's Attic treasures, decorated themed trees, holiday cards, and a new feature, Cooks Corner, for the culinary enthusiast.
There are also the artistically-designed gingerbread houses made by member Trish Moroz.
There will be homemade delicious foods to make life easier. Savory appetizers and gourmet soups to please any palate, and tables of mouth watering, irresistible quiches, breads, cakes, pies and cookies, all baked by club members.
This fair is truly a group effort, coordinated by member, Bev Nolan and assisted by Bobbi Grant. All proceeds benefit the beautification of Rockport and scholarships to local students pursuing a college degree pertaining to the field of horticulture.
