Rockport Garden Club meets May 1
Rockport — The Rockport Garden Club's monthly business meeting will be held Thursday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St.
The guest speaker and a Rockport Garden Club board member will be David Barry. His garden is full of flowers and shrubs, herbs and vegetables, and it is a major source of ingredients for making country wines.
He has been making country wines for more than 40 years, and uses his garden to produce a variety of wines. He will share the way this is done.
The program is free and open to the public and will run from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Rockport Opera House. The Rockport Garden Club always welcome new members.
