Rockland Walk to Cure Diabetes is Aug. 9
Rockland — The second annual Walk to Cure Diabetes will take place Saturday, Aug. 9, beginning at the Elks Lodge on Rankin Street in Rockland.
Rain or shine walkers are asked to check in at 9 a.m. for the three-mile loop to begin at 10 a.m. There will be snacks and water, donated by various local businesses for the walkers to enjoy before and after the walk. There are also donations of items that will be up for raffle as well as some items up for auction, including a autographed football by Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, a Boston Bruins autographed puck and Boston Red Sox autographed photo.
The auction and raffle will take place at the conclusion of the walk once participants have returned to the Elks Lodge.
