Rockland Public Library seeks Children's Room volunteers

Apr 26, 2014
As a special thank you, volunteers are invited to the “high tea” Jean White hosts at summer’s end.

Rockland — Rockland Public Library’s Children’s librarian Jean Young is looking for book- loving teens and adults, who enjoy working with children, to help with a variety of projects for the summer season.

Those who like to read stories and sing with little ones, there are story times both on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, to help. The Summer Reading Program is coming soon, which provides many opportunities to get involved. For instance; volunteers can assist in craft programs, listen to book reviews from children, help with games, put on puppet shows and creative dramatics, and even help decorate the Children’s Room.

If interested, please contact Young at 594-0310, or email jyoung@ci.rockland.me.us for a volunteer application.
