Rockland Kiwanis Meeting Minutes for May 26, 2014
President Katie Tarbox called the meeting to order, and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Bill Batty, Jr. offered our invocation. Guests included Mimi Zwick, Brian Tarbox, Sam Calamari, Lindsey Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Rachael Kinney, Bob Brown, and Kurt Lidenroth and Samantha Harring from the Aktion Club.
Steve Hinson from the ELIMINATE project will be here on Monday June 2nd. As usual, we passed the basket around. June 9th there will be division 4 training at 5:30pm with Lanton Lee.
We received a thank you letter from the Special Olympics for having the food wagon at their meet. Don't forget to sign the attendance sheet. Sponsored Youth: Jane Thompson reported the Key Club inducted new officers. The incoming president is in Poland, and attended the ceremony via Skype. Jane also noted that attendance from Kiwanians was very low. Cupcake Challenge: The committee had a wrap up meeting to discuss the event. It was decided that there would be only 20 contestants next year; 24 different samples to eat was just too many.
