$500 to Teens & Young People: Adrienne Randall accepted check from president Katie Tarbox.

Meals on Wheels – Doc Lombardi – Looking for members to sign up for August & Sept.
Food Wagon – Vanessa: monies raised by events at the Relay for Life and Summer Solstice events have not been totaled as of yet.
Grand Raffle – Dan Saucier & Keith Wass spoke about the 2nd prize of the Kayaks for our Grand Raffle and that the monies were to go towards scholarships.

Secret Greeter – Jim Heavey: Caught Doc, Sumner, Keith, Jane, Marcia & Dan
Badges – Everyone had their badge
50/50 – Keith Wass: Did not pick the Joker
Trivia – Jim Heavey – chose ½ dozen eggs over scratch ticket
2 additional 6 egg draws – Samantha Calamari & Ed Miller

New England District Convention –Registration is now open for August 21 – 24, Crown Plaza, Warwick, RI

Ed Miller; Happy that Rockland made it in the top 16 Main Streets
Carol Kelly; Owls Head Transportation Museum needs people to sign up
Samantha Calamari; Happy to be going to the International Convention in California, and speaking In the oratory competition.
Keith Wass; Happy for the scholarship recipients, the weather, the Red Sox, and his new puppy.
Marcia Whitten; Happy for the scholarship recipients, sad her mother is in Knox, and had missed meeting dollars.
Samantha Herring (Aktion Club); Sad for the passing of a friend.
Ray Comeau; Happy for Scholarship recipients, missed meeting dollars
Jane Thompson; Happy for the Scholarship recipients
Gordon Page; Happy for the Scholarship recipients, that he sold a raffle ticket, for speaker Jean Johnson, that Rockland Main Street made Parade Magazine in “Where is America’s Best Main Streets.
Jackie Harjula; Happy for Scholarship recipients, Samantha Calamari & Lyndsey Taylor are also competing for Sea Goddess, that her guest, Bob Brown is here for his second time, and she sold 3 tickets.
Tom Mellor; missed meeting dollars, happy for scholarship recipients.
Katie Tarbox; Happy for scholarship recipients and guests, for Pop The Cause and the donation to the Methodist Home Meals on Wheels, that 13 Kiwanis members attended member Al McNeilly’s funeral, and that another turkhen rooster was added to her farm, and for the speaker.

Speaker Jean Johnson was introduced by Gordon Page. She and her husband Bill are originally from Cape Cod and chose Owls Head to build Breakwater Vinyards. They also have a location on Main Street in Rockland. They are part of the Maine Wine Trail, and have eight wines, and employ 16 people.

A wine tasting was enjoyed by members.
