Rockland Café, Waldo County, Swan Lake notch baseball wins
The second week of the Midcoast Babe Ruth baseball league is in the books, with squads in action on Sunday, May 25.
Scores from the second week of play included: Rockland Café 10, Waldoboro 5; Damariscotta Lions 7, Wiscasset Merchants 1; Swan Lake Grocery 8, Rockport 4; and Waldo County 18, Camden 0.

Waldo County 18, Camden 0 (5 inns.)
At Rockport May 25, Waldo County rapped 16 hits and held the hosts to only one in a rout at Marge Jones Recreational Facility. Waldo County scored four runs in the first, two in the second and third, seven in the fourth and three in the fifth.
Leading Waldo County at the plate were Evan Thomas (3 singles, 2 runs), Barrett Grant (double, single, 3 runs), Brandon Smith (2 singles, 2 runs), Kyle Moore (3 singles, 2 runs, 4 RBIs), Max Thomas (single, 2 runs, 3 RBIs), Holden Dudley (double, run), Mitchell Philbrook (single, run), Cole Frey (single, 2 RBIs), Colby Furrow (single, run), Dylan Dinardo (run), Josh Stebbins (single, 2 runs) and Caleb Ackley (run).
Conrad Crans singled for the lone Camden hit.
Smith and Furrow pitched for the visitors, allowing one hit and no walks, with five strikeouts. Dan Peabody, Jacson Mooers, Owen Hilt and Will Bengtsson pitched for Camden.
Rockland Café 10, Waldoboro 5
At Waldoboro May 25, the visitors plated 10 runs over the final four innings and doubled up the hosts. Rockland Café scored four runs in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth, while Waldoboro tallied one in the first and four in the second.
Coby Dorr, Jack Freeman and Logan Sheridan combined to throw a one-hitter for Rockland Café as the trio walked seven and hit a batter, while striking out 10. Channing Soper and Owen Gilbert pitched for Waldoboro, allowing six hits and 12 walks, with seven strikeouts.
Leading Rockland Café at the plate were Dorr (single, RBI), Titus Kaewthong (single) and Sheridan (single, RBI).
For Waldoboro, Gilbert singled in the seventh inning for the lone hit.
Swan Lake Grocery 8, Rockport 4
At Belfast May 25, Swan Lake doubled up the visitors and picked up its second win of the young season. Swan Lake Grocery scored all eight of its runs in the sixth inning, while Rockport scored one in the first, two in the fifth and one in the seventh.
Leading Swan Lake Grocery at the plate were Nathaniel Johnson (run), Konnor Harford (hit, run, 2 RBIs), Lucien Gordley-Smith (hit, RBI), Grey Dinsmore (hit, run, 2 RBIs), Tyler Bartlett (hit, run), Peter Spectre (hit, RBI) and Zach Dyer (hit, run).
For Rockport, Jesse Fraser (2 hits, 3 runs), Cam Gushee (hit), Isaac Hall (hit, 2 RBIs), Lucas Boetsch (hit, 2 RBIs) and Nick Denny (hit) paced the offense.
Gordley-Smith, Dyer and Spectre pitched for Swan Lake Grocery, allowing six hits and five walks, with six strikeouts. Gushee, Denny and Spencer Johndro pitched for Rockport, allowing six hits and six walks, with five strikeouts.
