Rockland — Elaine Robbins of Waldoboro retired Sept. 27 after teaching adult education for approximately 21 years at the Knox County Jail. Robinson was surprised with a staff get together in appreciation for her dedication and a job well done. Robinson recently celebrated her 84th birthday.

Can't even begin to imagine the amount of lives this woman positively impacted in those 21 years. Am so thankful for the dedicated "CAN DO" people all around us who quietly go about being beacons of light in our world. Just what was needed to brighten up my day. Thanks, Mrs. Robinson. Enjoy that well earned retirement.
