Richard Russo and Andre Dubus III at Rockport Opera House May 19
This Saturday, May 19, Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Russo and NY Times Bestseller Andre Dubus III will appear at The Rockport Opera House to discuss their work, including Dubus’ highly acclaimed memoir,Townie, and Russo’s upcoming memoir, Elsewhere.
Dubus, whose House of Sand and Fog was a finalist for The National Book Award, and Russo, who won the Pulitzer for Empire Falls,will share the stage and take questions from audience members, as well as signing books, including Russo’s new collection, Interventions, a collaboration with his daughter, the artist Kate Russo.
Doors will open at 4:00 and the conversation will startat 4:30. Wine, cheese, chocolates andother Maine treats will be provided by Donand Patrisha McLean, State of Maine Cheese Company, Ducktrap River of Maine, Chocolatier Blueand other local businesses, with additional support provided by Mainely Bartendersand The Hawthorne Inn.
All Aboard Trolley will provideshuttle van service from the former Camden-Rockport Elementary on West Street (across from The Market Basket at Rtes 1 & 90) to The Rockport Opera House.
