Registration opens for Waldoboro youth soccer
Waldoboro — Registration for the 2012 Waldoboro Youth Soccer program has begun. Forms are being accepted at the Waldoboro Recreation Department Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The program is open to boys and girls entering kindergarten through sixth grade in Waldoboro and surrounding communities. The cost of the program is $25 per player (a $10 non-resident fee applies, a fee that is waived for program coaches).
There are three divisions of play: Micros (kindergarten through second grade), Peewees (third and fourth grades) and Juniors (fifth and sixth grades). Micros play Saturdays beginning Sept. 8. Games for Peewees and Juniors are being scheduled and should begin by mid-September.
Players in fifth and sixth grades should register as soon as possible in order to get the boys and girls travel teams together.
Coaches are needed at all levels. Those interested in coaching, assisting with the program or who need more information can call Kyle Santheson, recreation director, at 832-5369, extension 308.
Program registration forms are available at the Waldoboro Recreation Department or online at waldoboromaine.org.
