Registration for Pen Bay Soccer fall season under way

Tryouts scheduled for May, June
By Staff | May 12, 2017

Warren — Registration for Pen Bay Soccer Club’s fall season opened May 1 and tryouts have been scheduled.

Pen Bay Soccer Club teams participate in the US Youth Soccer Association/Soccer Maine League and the club is for experienced Midcoast players ready to travel in the state each weekend for games with other club teams.

Tryouts for all age groups will be Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, and Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11. All players must attend at least one of the tryout dates and are encouraged to attend both, said Tammy Krul, manager of the PITCH.

Players unable to attend either tryout, but want to be considered for a team, must contact the coach of their anticipated team prior to the scheduled tryout dates to schedule an alternate tryout.

It is Pen Bay SC’s policy that players must register online through GotSoccer.com before their scheduled tryout.

PBSC fees are $95 for registration, plus a separate uniform cost. Pen Bay Soccer Club’s philosophy is that financial concerns not be a barrier to playing soccer, Krul said. To that end, "we keep our fees at or below most other clubs and financial aid is available."
