Local combo Raised by Wolves is performing around the Midcoast in early May. Guitarist and singer Vincent "Blind Albert" Gabriel, bassist Lynne Frey and percussionist Terry LaMarr sing original compositions in a mix of styles, including Latin, jazz and blues.

On Friday, May 2, the band will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Highlands Coffee House, Main Street/Route 1. The show coincides with the opening of a month-long exhibit of digital art by Gabriel, who creates work in honor of his late mother as Jane’s Legacy.

On Saturday, May 10, the Velvet Lounge series will welcome Raised by Wolves back to Rock City Café, 316 Main St. The music will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Rock City’s lunch service is now extended till closing on music nights. For more information on this and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
