Rain doesn't keep kids from candy rounds in Rockport
Rockport — It was a dark and stormy night ... but that did not detour children and parents who took part in the annual Rockport Public Library Halloween parade and gathering.
Ghosts and ghouls, princes and princesses, kittens and story book characters came alive as the group was escorted by the fire and police departments through the village from Graffam Brother's Lobster to Rockport Opera House for games, snacks and scary — and not so scary — tales told in the spirit of All Hallows Eve.
The annual event is sponsored by Rockport Public Library, giving trick or treaters a safe, family-friendly place to enjoy the holiday.
