Apr 19, 2013

Camden — Tips for outsmarting arthritis is the focus of the next educational program Monday, May 6, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Quarry Hill in Camden.

Planned in observance of National Arthritis Month, the event is part of Quarry Hill’s Going Strong series on health topics of particular interest to adults age 55-plus.

Local experts Dr. Deirdre Gramas of Midcoast Rheumatology, and Pauline Wilder, of Holistic Health and Healing say program attendees will gain a deeper understanding of arthritis, which directly affects an estimated 50 million Americans. The presenters will outline strategies to help those living with the condition decrease pain, increase mobility, prevent and control symptoms and improve quality of life.

Admission is free; seating is limited and registration is required. To sign up, call Quarry Hill at 230-6114 or email qhinfo@penbayhealthcare.org.
