Quarry Hill program to highlight vision issues
Camden — Adults age 55 and better are invited to attend an educational program on Vision Issues, Monday, March 24, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Quarry Hill in Camden.
This free event is part of the senior-living community’s Going Strong series, focusing on health issues of particular concern to older adults.
Presenters will include Shannon Burns, rehabilitation counselor; Coretta Cooper, orientation and mobility specialist; and Aisha Hixon, vision rehabilitation therapist, Maine Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
The session will cover common vision issues and treatment options and include tips on minimizing age-related vision changes. Also included will be information on resources available to those coping with impaired sight.
