Quarry Hill Named Best Retirement Community in Countywide Poll
CAMDEN, ME, October 29, 2013 – Quarry Hill has been voted Best Retirement Home in Knox County for the tenth consecutive year as part of Village Soup’s 2013 Best of Knox County People’s Choice poll.
The annual poll asks Village Soup readers to identify their favorite service providers, businesses, stores, restaurants, and more and names the top vote getters in each category.
“Quarry Hill is truly honored to have been elected number one in its category yet again this year. We appreciate the continued support of the Midcoast community and promise to continue working hard to earn the public’s high regard,” said Quarry Hill executive director Bob McKeown.
An extended-care community for adults age 55-plus, Quarry Hill offers independent-living apartments and cottage homes, as well as assisted living, short- and long-term nursing care and rehabilitation services, and dementia care. In 2012, the community placed within the top 10 percent of senior-living centers of its kind nationwide in a resident-satisfaction study conducted by the independent applied-research firm My InnerView.
Quarry Hill is a member of the Pen Bay Healthcare family of services, which also includes Pen Bay Medical Center, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice, and the Knox Center for Long Term Care. Through these organizations, and with a staff of more than 100 outstanding physicians and more than 1,500 healthcare professionals, we are able to provide the people of Midcoast Maine with a continuum of both routine and specialty patient-centered medical services.
