Project Puffin to host children's food chain program

Rockland — Puffins are excellent hunters and can dive up to 200-feet deep Come learn more about puffins, what they eat, and how they are able to carry so many fish at one time on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. when The Project Puffin Visitor Center, located at 311 Main St. in Rockland, will be offering a program about puffin food chains.

This program will introduce children to marine ecosystems and what puffins feed on and afterwards each child will create their own puffin food chain mobile. This activity is designed for kids ages 5-10 and is free, however donations are always welcomed. Please call in advance to reserve a seat and for more information please call 596-5566.
