PROBATE BASICS PRESENTATION - With Coffee and Cookies, Too!

As part of a tour through Waldo County to host free “Probate Basics” presentations, Judge Susan W. Longley of Waldo County Probate Court will be at the Ivan O. Davis Library in Liberty this upcoming Friday, Oct. 12^th from 6-8, Though Judge Longley cannot provide legal advice at these presentations, she can help attendees better understand probate basics.   Based on her 8 years as a judge and 20+ years as a lawyer and a teacher of law courses, she can help attendees better understand such probate-related matter as powers of attorney (or “advance directives”), wills, guardianships, conservatorships, adoptions, name changes and wills and what families might consider doing to be better prepared. To help everyone digest these procedural legalities, Judge Longley also will bring refreshments, including her home-made chocolate-chip cookies!
