Privateer Lynx visits Belfast Harbor!
The Lynx Educational Foundation is proud to open their ship Lynx to the public for deck tours and harbor sails every day from . Deck tours are , $5 for adults and by donation for kids. Harbor sails are 2 hours long, leaving at , $55 for adults and $25 for kids, featuring live cannon fire, sea chanteys, and history and storytelling from the War of 1812. The legendary tall ship Lynx is proud to return to the bay where it was born. Built in 2001 by Rockport Marine by noted shipbuilder Taylor Allen, founding partner of Belfast's Front Street Shipyard, Lynx showcases the fine craftsmanship of Maine that has been treasured by generations. Touring both coasts of the United States as well as the Great Lakes, Lynx has become known for its sleek lines and stirring story. The Lynx Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to hands-on programs that teach the history of America's struggle for independence. The Lynx preserves American heritage through maritime education and sail training.
