Prey's 'Print Show' in Port Clyde

Port Clyde — "Barbara Ernst Prey: The Print Show" will open the summer at the longtime seasonal artist's gallery, Blue Water Fine Arts on Main Street/Route 131 in the village. The show will run from Tuesday, July 3 through Sunday, July 15, with daily hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The annual exhibition showcases limited-edition prints and new releases by internationally acclaimed artist Barbara Ernst Prey, produced in collaboration with U.L.A.E. Prey’s artwork is included in major public collections including the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Endowment for the Arts and the White House; and her paintings are on exhibit at The Kennedy Space Center and various United States embassies.

Prey was appointed by Pres. George W. Bush to the National Council on the Arts, the advisory board for the National Endowment for the Arts, and also was invited to paint the official White House Christmas card. Included in "The Print Show" are prints of her NASA commissioned paintings "Shuttle Discovery: Return to Flight" and "Columbia Tribute," part of the Smithsonian traveling exhibit "NASA ART/50."
