Pop-up art show, concert at Rec Center
Rockland — Youthful talent will be on display just a block up from Main Street before, during and after the First Friday Art Walk June 6. The community is invited to stroll over to the Rockland Recreation Center, corner of Limerock and Union streets, from 4 to 9 p.m. for a Pop-Up Art Show and live music.
On view will be work in a variety of media by local students and young people. Included will be paintings, photography, sculpture, written work and more. Starting around 6 p.m., there will be music too. Performers include Drive By Todd, Galactic Seagulls, Jim Dandy and The Steppe.
The art show will continue Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations to support local artists will be gratefully received. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.
