Police investigate pedestrian in ditch
Rockland — Police are investigating to determine how a female Rockland resident came to be lying in a ditch Wednesday evening, May 7, according to Deputy Police Chief Wally Tower.
A call of a car vs. pedestrian on Route 1 near the Salvation Army came into Knox County Communications at about 9 p.m. A woman was found in the ditch. Police are not releasing her name at this time.
Tower said she did not have injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. She was taken by Rockland Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Pen Bay Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation, he said.
