Poets’ Corner reading at Jensen’s

Jan 04, 2013

Rockland — Participants of Rockport Public Library’s Poets' Corner Workshop will read from their work Thursday, Jan. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Jensen’s Pharmacy in the Breakwater Marketplace building, 91 Camden St./Route 1.

Reading will be Poets’ Corner leaders George Chappell and Jim Ostheimer, along with Jon Potter and Bob McLaughlin. All have published work, and they will read poems new, old and perhaps in progress. Jensen’s will provide refreshments for the reading, to which all are invited. Books will be available for purchase.

The reading will take the place of that date’s meeting of the group. The Poets' Corner Workshop has been meeting twice a month since October, on the first and third Thursday of each month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Rockport Public Library, 1 Limerock St. The ongoing workshop is open to the public at no charge; anyone interested in poetry and improving one's writing skills may attend.
