Last call for Poetry Month Rockland art

Friendship artist Dita Ondek’s painting “The Tide Rushes In” was in the 2013 Poetry Month Rockland juried art show at Rockland Public Library.

Rockland — Poetry Month Rockland and the Rockland Public Library are looking for entries for this year’s juried art show. Artwork will be on display in the library throughout the month of April.

This theme for Poetry Month Rockland 2014 is Windows, Mirrors, and Doors. Windows, mirrors and doors represent ways of looking and approaches to personal experience. Artwork that considers the theme figuratively, literally, and abstractly, all will be considered.  Artwork in all media may be submitted, but space is limited so please submit two-dimensional work no larger than 12-by-12 inches; and 3-D work no larger than 20 inches high.

Digital images should be sent before Tuesday, March 25, to sweisman1@roadrunner.com, including name, title of work, size, medium and contact information including phone number and email address. All questions can be emailed to the same address. Applicants will be notified by March 24. Drop-off dates will be March 26 and 27.

The exhibition will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Tuesday, April 1, and continue through the end of the month.
