Rockland — Poetry Month Rockland and the Rockland Public Library will open this year’s juried art show Tuesday, April 1, with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception. Artwork will be on display throughout the month of April at the city library, 80 Union St.

The theme for Poetry Month Rockland 2014 is that of the show’s title, “Windows, Doors & Mirrors” — things that represent ways of looking and approaches to personal experience. The library’s display cases are filled with two-dimensional work that considers the theme figuratively, literally and abstractly.

The exhibition features acrylics by DiTA Ondek and Maureen Egan; oil paintings by Angela Pomereau, Pat Ryan and Barb Beutel Tomes; photography by Roberta Bauman and Ria Biley; watercolors by Jack Ross; assemblage art by Ron Smith; and artist books by Sandy Weisman.
