Plants Unlimited offers Boston Flower Show trip

Feb 23, 2013

Rockport — Plants Unlimited is organizing two trips to the Boston Flower Show on Thursday, March 14 and Saturday, March 16.

The theme — Seeds of Change — will showcase how the region’s best green thumbs are fearlessly embracing new plants, methods and materials to increase the beauty, the bountiful harvest and the ecological friendliness of their gardens and outdoor spaces.

New Englanders have always embraced a good revolution, so it is no surprise that we are seeing sections of grass lawns in very traditional neighborhoods being replaced with raised beds of veggies or even more radical gardens growing vertically instead of on the good old horizontal plane.

Set to the backdrop of spectacular garden displays by cutting-edge landscape professionals and area nurseries, visitors to the 2013 Boston Flower & Garden Show will also enjoy hours of lectures and demonstrations by top garden writers, industry experts and creative local chefs, shop from a wide marketplace featuring thousands of plants and hundreds of the newest gardening products, and enjoy new special events designed to illustrate the changing landscape of gardening.
