Come and learn breathing techniques for relaxation, gentle stretching while seated and group discussion about living with chronic pain.
Britta Light’s journey led her to Maine in 1975 where she completed her RN degree in 1980. After many years experience working in hospitals, physician’s offices and clinics, she felt drawn to a more holistic approach in her work. Brita studied at Downeast School of Massage, completed certification as a licensed Massage Therapist and opened a practice for therapeutic massage in Camden in 1988. After taking her first yoga class, Brita felt mentally and physically transformed by the experience. This brought her to yoga training through the “White Lotus Foundation” in Santa Barbara, CA. followed by level I and II training in “Yoga of the Heart” by Dr. Dean Ornish of Harvard University.
Britta has years of experience teaching yoga classes for those with heart disease, cancer, chronic pain, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, asthma and depression.
