Lost, Found and Looking

Pet pick would flourish in loving home

Zeke

Meet Zeke. Zeke is a handsome 5-year-old Black Lab. This big, goofy dog came to us as a stray in April. Sadly, no one has come in looking for him. Zeke is very playful and would love to have a big back yard to play fetch in. He is good with cats and most dogs, preferring the ladies. Zeke knows basic commands such as sit and lay down and is good on a leash. Because he is stressed at the shelter, he is on the thin side. We are working on getting some weight back on him. He will surely flourish in a home of his own. If you are interested in a super-sized love bug, come in and meet Zeke. Our shelter is full of dogs of all sizes and personalities ready to become part of a family. We still have a few Chihuahuas for adoption.

During June's Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat month, adoption fees for all adult cats are 50 percent off. We also have dozens of kittens for adoption. During our June KITTEN PALOOZA adopt a kitten and get a companion kitten for half off.

Thank you to all who went out to Eat for Pete’s Sake. We've heard wonderful stories of great food shared and memories made. We appreciate the support of the 27 participating local restaurants. We couldn't do it without them. We hope that you will support these restaurants who support the shelter by dining at them throughout the year. We are happy to report that "Pete," aka Dingo, has been adopted and is living his happily ever after with another HSKC alum.

Wish list: copy paper, paper towels, dish detergent, laundry detergent, large black garbage bags, kitten milk replacement, cat and dog treats.
