Perfect 10: Windjammers remain unbeaten, navigate past Raiders

Rokous, Griebel tally three goals, Matlack, Nickerson two apiece for hosts

Rockport — The Camden Hills boys lacrosse team remained unbeaten, for the second straight regular season, when it hosted Oak Hill of Wales on Thursday, May 18 as the Windjammers won by 10 goals — a 12-2 victory over the visiting Raiders.

Leading the Windjammer offense was Matt Nickerson (2 goals), Owen Rokous (3 goals), Elliot Matlack (2 goals, 2 assists), Connor Davis (goal), Bryce Tyler (goal, assist), Morgan Mercier (assist) and Thomas Griebel (3 goals, assist).

Steven Gilbert and Darren Bailey scored for the Raiders.

James Lynch made 10 saves in net for Camden Hills, while Nate Marcotte minded the goal for Oak Hill.

Camden Hills has not lost a regular-season match in two-plus seasons.

In the Maine Principals’ Association Heal Point Standings for Class B North, Camden Hills (7-0, 39.8611 points) is second, while Gardiner (9-0, 89.0278 points) is first in the 16-team region. The top 11 teams qualify for the playoffs.

Camden Hills’ win over Oak Hill has not been reported to the Heal Point site, thus, the Windjammers officially are 8-0.
