Rockland — Penobscot School invites the public to attend its combined Open House and Carnival Sunday, Feb. 9, from 3 to 5 p.m. at its 28 Gay St. location.
Participants may meet the instructors, sign up for classes and partake in various cultural crafts. Families, adults and children are welcome to experience mask-making, origami, and cultural snacks.
The school’s spring semester begins Feb. 24 and will include language learning in Italian, French, German, Spanish, Latin, Chinese and Japanese. New offerings include Chinese Chess, a course in researching German ancestory and cultural cooking classes. Students at all levels will find a variety of course options.
