Penobscot School announces fall courses, open house Sept. 6

Aug 15, 2014

Rockland — Registration for fall classes is now open at Penobscot School in Rockland.

New this fall are several native speakers offering instruction at all levels of French, Italian and Spanish. Courses for the beginner, intermediate and advanced are complemented by courses for those who would like to reawaken previous language study for personal and/or professional reasons.

New courses include Visitons le Louvre offering French speakers and non-French speakers an opportunity to discover and explore the treasures of the most frequently visited museum in the world. French Country Cooking and Cooking with Tom Sigler, chef and owner of Comida Latin Kitchen in Camden round out offerings in French and Spanish. Interested in choral works? Try Italian and German, both conducted by native speakers. Children and caregivers may enjoy French or Spanish for children taught using the immersion method.

All classes begin the week of Sept. 22. For more information and to register, visit the school at the Open House  Saturday, Sept. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. Complete course descriptions and registration are available at penobscot.us or contact the school at 594-1084.
