Penobscot Marine Museum to hold Maritime themed book sale !

By Penobscot Marine Museum | Jan 28, 2013

The Penobscot Marine Museum will hold a maritime-themed book sale on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 8 am to 11 am in the lobby of the Museum's Stephen Phillips Memorial Library at 9 Church Street, Searsport.  These books are duplicates of those already in our collection.  No early birds or previews of the books, please.  The sale is open to the general public.

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Library library serves as the museum's research center, providing access to books, manuscripts, photographs, nautical charts, maps, and boat plans. In addition to our strong collections in maritime history, with an emphasis on mid-coast Maine, we also have important collections in Maine history and genealogy.

The library is at 9 Church Street, Searsport. The library does not lend materials: all research is conducted in the reading room, which is handicapped-accessible.

To check the Phillips Library's catalogued holdings, you may search the SOLAR Catalogdatabase. We are one of two libraries in the database from Waldo County.

All inquiries should be directed to Collections Manager Cipperly Good: email cgood@pmm-maine.org or 207-548-2529 ext.212

Hours

The library is open year-round by appointment. Please call or e-mail Cipperly Good atcgood@pmm-maine.org for an appointment.
