Pen Bay doctors honored in peer survey

Rockport — Twenty-one physicians were chosen for inclusion in Down East Magazine’s Maine TopDocs Physician Survey 2014 as the top physicians in their respective fields.

The physicians who made the list were chosen through a peer review in which Maine doctors were asked who they would go to for help if their own family members had health concerns in the specified areas.

The January issue of Downeast highlights the 2014 Physician Survey results in which Maine's physicians were asked this question: If you or a family member had a problem in the following areas, who would you select as the best specialist in Maine for care and treatment? The votes were tallied and Pen Bay's peer-selected winners and runners-up are featured below.

This list is incomplete.....Dr. Cheryl Liechty and Dr. Mark Eggena were also included in the list for their expertise in infectious disease.
