Pellietier considers return to Hope Select Board
Hope Board of Selectmen member Wendy Pellietier has taken out nomination papers for re-election to her seat on the board.
Nomination papers are now available for seats to be filled at the June election.
A pair of three-year seats on the Board of Selectmen, held by Pellietier and David Bosken are available. Pellietier has not yet returned the papers.
Three seats on the Budget Committee are up for re-election. Two three-year terms, held by Bill Pearse and Ellie Goldberg, are available, as well as a one-year term. That seat is currently vacant. Jean Ettlinger has taken out, but not returned, papers for a seat on the committee.
A three-year term for road commissioner, presently held by John Monroe, is also available. Monroe has taken out, but not returned papers for re-election to the post. Michael Douglass has taken out papers for a three-year term on the Hope School Committee, currently held by Alina Smith. He also has not yet filed them with the town office.
The town is also looking for people interested in serving on the Planning Board, whose members are appointed by the selectmen. The board has seven members, but two people spend winters in Florida and are unavailable for meetings during those months.
Nomination papers can be picked up at the Town Office, require at least 25, and not more than 100, signatures and are due by Tuesday, May 2, for names to be included on the ballot. Those interested in the Planning Board should contact the Town Office. The election is set for Tuesday, June 13, with the annual town meeting on Thursday, June 15.
