Due to the weather forecast this weekend, Trekkers' fundraising bicycle ride "Pedal to the Port" has been postponed until Sunday, June 9th. This fun, family-friendly event will take place at the same time and same place as originally planned. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Oceanside West High School; the ride begins at 9 a.m.
Trekkers' Pedal to the Port is an annual benefit bicycle ride along the beautiful St. George peninsula to the Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde.
This fun and casual ride has three route options for riders: 12, 35, and 45 miles. The 45-mile is the perfect training ride for the Trek Across Maine!
Registration is FREE for members of teams of four or more riders. Registration is $25 for an individual. Riders are also asked to gather a minimum of $75 in pledges. All riders will receive a free Pedal to the Port T-shirt and are invited to enjoy the post-ride cookout! All proceeds benefit Trekkers' outdoor-based youth mentoring programs.
Trekkers is a nonprofit organization that serves 7th- through 12th-grade students from six communities in midcoast Maine. Our program connects local youth with caring adults and builds valuable life skills through expeditionary learning, community service, and adventure-based education.
