PAWS: No shortage of love with Taz and Flash
Please meet Taz, a beautiful, long-haired, black-with-white declawed male who is 8 years old and would like very much — no, would love — to be your next indoor-only cat. One of Taz’s favorite pastimes is to sit in a window and let the breeze blow through his fur, not excepting his glorious whiskers, and then take a cat nap in the sunshine. We should all be so lucky, you might think, except that you and I have a home and Taz does not. And we think it’s time to remedy that error. So stop by the shelter and meet Taz ... and Flash, a 7-year-male whose gorgeous eyes say "Love me and I will love you back." (That’s what they say to us. What do they say to you?) This handsome fellow loves to play, sit in windows and curl up for an afternoon nap.
Both Taz and Flash are available through the Wilkalis-Balch Senior Adoption Program. Under the program, adoption fees will be waived for any cat who is 7 or older and any dog who is 9 or older if the adopter is 50 years old or older. The program is made possible by a donation from Shirley Balch in memory of John Wilkalis. Thank you, Shirley Balch, for remembering your friend in such a meaningful way, and one that will bring great happiness into many two-legged and many four-legged lives.
On our wish list: paper towels, laundry detergent, cotton balls, Q-tips and canned and dry cat food. As always, thank you for your kind thoughtfulness.
