PAWS: May 4 is 'Cinco de Meow' day at local restaurants
One of the best words for describing Tinkerbell is happy-go lucky. This sweet 5-year-old beagle loves to curl up with people. Being a beagle, she also loves to go on walks where she can follow her nose and smell everything — and we mean everything. She weighs about 40 pounds — medium size, but most of that is heart — and has lived in a home with other dogs. Tink isn’t a barker on her own but she’ll join the chorus with enthusiasm. Active and affectionate, she will bring joy to any home.
Meet "The Boys:" Beau and Luke, 8-year-old chocolate Lab/husky brothers, are looking for a place of their own, preferably with a car and driver, as they love to go on rides. They also love being outside, so they need a place where they can run around and play. Together through life so far, they would be happiest staying together and bringing double the fun and double the love to their new home.
Stop by one of the following restaurants on Saturday, May 4, and help us celebrate Cinco de Meow Day. These participating restaurants are giving a portion of the day’s sales to P.A.W.S. to help us take care of the many lost, abandoned or stray animals that come to us. Make sure you let the restaurants know that you’re there because they are supporting P.A.W.S. Our food partners are, in Camden: Peter Ott’s, Atlantica, Boynton-McKay, Waterfront and Graffam Harborside; Rockport: Blue Sky Cantina, Offshore and La Bella Vita at the Samoset Resort; Hope: Hatchet Mountain Publick House; Lincolnville: Chez Michel and Whale’s Tooth Pub; Rockland: Waterworks Restaurant and Home Kitchen Café; and Belfast, La Vida. What a bunch of great places to choose from! We hope you have a wonderful time and we give you two “paws up” for helping the animals!
Check out our website for more information, and also to see how you can get tickets for the Stray Cat Strut Dance, our ’80s theme dance you will not want to miss. And yes, please dig out that ’80’s outfit that we know you still have hiding in your closet and wear it proudly.
On our wish list: paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, dish soap, non-clumping cat litter and Purina Kitten Chow. Thank you for helping.
As spring creeps in on little cat feet, please stop in and see us and all our beautiful babes at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Don’t forget to take a look atpawsadoption.org, for the latest news and events. And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
