PAWS: Jean H. Kislak PAWS Dog Park now open

Carl

The Jean H. Kislak PAWS Community Dog Park is now open every day from sun-up to sundown. This wonderful new space is a community park for everyone to use, and all we ask is that you follow the rules that are posted. We hope this will be a fun place for your dog to run around and play with other dogs.

Our beautiful Carl is looking for a home with people who will appreciate how affectionate he is. He loves to be petted and he loves people to pay attention to him. He’ll be happiest spending these cold winter nights curled up on someone’s lap or, if that’s not available, real close to an in-use fireplace.

Are you looking for a unique cat? Wanda’s your girl. This beauty is black with dark tiger markings and gorgeous green eyes. She’s a Russian Blue mix who is just as loving and affectionate as she is beautiful.

Don’t forget that our four-footed population here have stockings hanging by their doors in hopes that Santa’s helpers will fill them with toys. The cats would love to have toy balls and toy mice and the dogs could use some tough chew toys. If you want to keep the dogs super busy, look for puzzle toys. Our guys and gals will have lots of fun trying to find hidden treats, and it will keep them very busy.

We have lots of cats, and we’re always in need of non-clumping cat litter and canned cat food. Cleaning litter boxes are a daily thing at PAWS, and we don’t like to think what would happen if we ran out!

Don’t forget to visit our website at pawsadoption.org and pick up a last-minute Christmas gift. You can purchase a calendar or one of the items from our auction.

Right after Christmas comes the New Year (for those of you who didn’t know!) and we’d like to suggest a New Year’s resolution. The best possible gift any of our sweet babies could get, and the best start to a new year, would be a home of their own. We have so many lovely cats and dogs who are just longing for a home and a family of their own. Look into your heart, and then your home, and see if there’s room for one of our darlings. This is one investment where the returns are a thousandfold and never diminish.

So before the year is out, please stop in and see us and all special creatures at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, our phone number is 236-8702 and pawsadoption.org is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
