PAWS: Holiday pet portraits to benefit PAWS at two Loyal Biscuit locations

Joel

Thank you to everyone who came to our Laugh Out Loud for Animals event this past Saturday at the Boat House in Belfast. We had kittens up for adoption and one lucky little kitten went home. A big “paws” up to Loyal Biscuit Co. and Dutch Chevrolet for Pack That Pickup. The goal was to fill the back of a pickup truck with supplies that we need for the shelter and, boy!, did people fill it up! We received tons of dog and cat food, paper towels, towels and toys. A great time was had by all.

Let’s talk about Joel, a 6-month-old Lab mix who is just waiting to get out of here. He loves to play ball, take car rides, go on walks and have people tell him how cute he is. He is still young, so he is working on his manners. For now, he gets very excited when he meets people so he tends to jump up to say hello. He is going to be one great dog that any family will be lucky to have.

We don’t think Brutus is going to be here for too long. He has the best personality and just loves everyone he meets. He is playful, sweet and very affectionate.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Holiday Pet Portraits to benefit PAWS. This year’s portraits will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Loyal Biscuit in Camden, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Loyal Biscuit in Belfast. Our super photographer, Marti Stone, will take photos of your pet or of you and your pet. The sitting fee is $20 for one pet or $30 for two or more pets in the same portrait. You can choose from a classic holiday backdrop or a fun setting with Santa. An 8-by-10-inch portrait of the photographer’s choosing is also included. Call the shelter to reserve your time, 236-8702.

Please stop in and see us and all our lovely lasses and lads at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, our phone number is 236-8702 and pawsadoption.org is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
