Pastor Mark Adolphsen | Maine Ministry Outreach Center

By Chestnut Street Baptist Church | Jan 14, 2014
Do you know what’s really special about us here at CSBC?   NOTHING! Absolutely nothing!  If you are looking for a perfect church then you are going to be very disappointed with us.  At CSBC you’ll find real people, with real problems, who live real lives, and are all learning to love a real God whose grace is more than enough for all our needs. You see, here at CSBC we don’t need to cling to our own “special-ness” or “goodness” because of the cross of Jesus Christ.  At His cross we find that we are really not so “good” after all.  In fact, we discover that we are unquestionably guilty and yet can be unconditionally forgiven. At Jesus’ cross we learn that He does not want to condemn us in our sins but to save us from them.  At the cross we find that God receives us just where we are but He loves us enough not to leave us there.  God can and will change lives.  He is changing us and can change you as well. So here at CSBC there are only people.  People like me.  People like you.  People like us.  People who desperately need God’s grace.  Everyone is welcome to come and receive that grace.  We invite you to join us on this life-changing journey.    Welcome Home to Chestnut Street Baptist Church!

Maine Ministry Outreach Center

Maine Ministry Outreach Center (MMOC) is the result of a vision to train and mobilize young people in the service of the Jesus Christ, and to assist them in the discovery and use of their gifts in reaching others with the Gospel. Our purpose could be summed up in these three words: Evangelism, Engagement, and Encouragement.

(MMOC) is a ministry for the Local church, so, the assistance of local church members is incredibly vital to its function. Our passion is to join forces with the believers of Maine in order to reach and disciple youth more effectively.  It is with the love and support of the many people throughout this area that this work continues to grow, and has now grown into a new organization.

Our Name MMOC:

Maine - Location of ministry and sphere of work

Ministry - The training and mobilization of youth leadership

Outreach - The essential priority of evangelistic and restoration work

Center - The organization of these outreaches, including a vision for a future location

"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."  - 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Our Purpose: “To assist the Local church in reaching, equipping, and mobilizing young leaders for Christ.”

Our Passion: "To aid local churches in the process of youth outreach, youth training, and to assist and encourage youth pastors and leaders in their ministry."

Our Goal: "To aid in the development of the next generation of Christian workers from the State of Maine while engaging them in the work of the ministry."
