Parkinson's group to study medication issues
Camden — The area’s Parkinson’s Support Group will take a second look at medication safety during its next regular monthly meeting, set for Tuesday, Nov. 6, from noon to 1:45 p.m., at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden.
Reprising a presentation she delivered during a support-group meeting last winter, Pen Bay Medical Center pharmacist Vicki Wellner will discuss potentially harmful interactions between Parkinson’s medications, commonly-prescribed over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements.
The Parkinson’s Support Group meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month, from noon to 1:45 p.m. at the Anderson Inn. Meetings are free and offer learning and fellowship to all those living with Parkinson’s disease as well as their loved ones and caregivers. Attendees are encouraged to bring bag lunches; Quarry Hill provides beverages and desserts.
