Parkinson's group to explore benefits of laughter
Camden — “The Health Benefits of Laughing” is the theme of the next area meeting of the Parkinson’s Disease Support Group Tuesday, June 3, from noon to 1:45 p.m. at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill, Camden.
Licensed massage therapist and Laughter Yoga instructor Tina Lee, LMT, will discuss and demonstrate the practice of Laughter Yoga, which she has described as “good medicine for mind, body, and soul.” According to Lee, the practice is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or physical ability.
Support group meetings take place regularly on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings are free and offer learning and fellowship to all those living with Parkinson’s disease as well as their loved ones and caregivers. Attendees are encouraged to bring bag lunches; Quarry Hill provides beverages and desserts.
