High school golf squads in Knox and part of Lincoln counties have been in action on the links in recent days, featuring a mixed bag of results.
Camden Hills earned a 9-0 win over Mount View of Thorndike on Thursday, Sept. 4 and was downed by Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield 6-3 Tuesday, Sept. 2, while Oceanside beat Messalonskee of Oakland 5-4 on Thursday and lost to Cony of Augusta 7.5 to 1.5 on Tuesday.
Medomak Valley also fell to Waterville 7.5 to 1.5 on Thursday and earned its first win of the season on Tuesday, a 7-2 decision over host Mount View.

Camden Hills 9, Mount View 0
At the par-36 Samoset Resort in Rockport Sept. 4, the Windjammers bounced back from their first loss since 2012 as they sailed past the visiting Mustangs. Camden Hills finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 155 to 236 for Mount View.
The individual results, with Camden Hills golfers listed first, were: Daulton Wickenden (38) beat Ross DeLorenzo (53), 5&4; Julian Starbird (43) beat Cassidy Gerrish (61), 5&4; Drew Long (41) beat Stephen Koller (77), 5&4; Jared Garske (41) beat Bo Curtis (60), 5&4; Casey Rouleau (39) beat Jacob Rose (62), 5&4; and Drew Holt (37) beat Kasey Roberts (69), 5&4.
Holt was the medalist with 37.
Oceanside 5, Messalonskee 4
At the par-36 Belgrade Lakes Golf Club in Belgrade Lakes Sept. 4, the Mariners nipped the host Eagles and picked up their second win. Oceanside finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 171 to 181 for Messalonskee.
The individual results, with Oceanside golfers listed first, were: Nick Mazurek (36) beat Billy Rollins (43), 3&2; Zeke Hamlin (42) tied Nick Labum (48); Ryan Lawrence (44) tied Dillon Burton (44); Griffin Lombardo (49) lost to Jared Cunningham (46), 1-down; Nate Hersom (55) lost to Riley Campbell (54), 2&1; and Hunter Dinsmore (51) lost to Jason Smith (48), 4&2.
Mazurek was the medalist with 36.
Waterville 7.5, Medomak Valley 1.5
At the par-36 Rockland Golf Club in Rockland Sept. 4, the Panthers could not contain the Purple Panthers and fell for the second time in three matches. Waterville finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 208 to 229 for Medomak Valley.
The individual results, with Medomak Valley golfers listed first, were: Adam Wilcox (54) lost to Adam Barre (47), 3&2; Aaron Smeltzer (55) tied C.J. Gaunce (55); J.P. Lobley (59) lost to Keaton Lawrence (52), 3&2; Cam Allaire (61) lost to Adam Zarfos (59), 3&2; Brent Stewart (69) lost to Alex Maheux (54), 3&2; and Duncan Morrell (68) beat John Violette (62), 1-up.
Barre was the medalist with 47.
Medomak Valley 7, Mount View 2
At the par-36 Country View Golf Club in Brooks Sept. 2, the Panthers emerged victorious over the host Mustangs. Medomak Valley finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 205 to 208 for Mount View.

DeLorenzo was the medalist with 36.
Cony 7.5, Oceanside 1.5
At Natanis Golf Club in Vassalboro Sept. 2, the Rams defended their home course and prevailed over the visiting Mariners. Cony finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 168 to 174 for Oceanside.
The individual results, with Oceanside golfers listed first, were: Nick Mazurek (41) lost to Ben Leet (40); Ryan Lawrence (46) lost to Thomas Foster (42); Zeke Hamlin (42) beat Justin Rodrigue (46); Griffin Lombardo (45) lost to Jake Whitley (44); Nate Hersom (52) lost to Tim Cusick (45); and Hunter Dinsmore (53) lost to Bradley Beeckel (42).
Leet was the medalist with 40.
Maine Central Institute 6, Camden Hills 3
At the par-35 J.W. Parks in Pittsfield Sept. 2, the Huskies won a high-profile, early-season match against the Windjammers, two of the projected top teams in Class B. MCI finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole team stroke total of 162 to 167 for Camden Hills.
It was the first regular-season loss for Camden Hills since the Windjammers were 1-1 after a defeat to Maranacook of Readfield Aug. 28, 2012. That year, the Windjammers then won their next seven regular-season matches (8-1 on the campaign), went 12-0 last year and started this season with a win, thus earned 20 straight regular-season match victories before losing to MCI Tuesday.
The individual results, with Camden Hills golfers listed first, were: Drew Holt (37) lost to Gavin Dugas (36); Daulton Wickenden (40) lost to Carter Pearl (37); Julian Starbird (45) lost to Eric Dugas (37); Drew Long beat Parker Morrison (52); Jared Garske (48) beat Nate Tilton (52); and Quinn Holt (52) beat Seth Mason (57).
Gavin Dugas was the medalist with 36.
In exhibitions, Windjammers Louis Laurita and Casey Rouleau shot 46 and 50 respectively.
