Panthers continue to toil away on mat, this time in road quad-meet

Bath — The Medomak Valley wrestling squad participated in a quad-meet with Gardiner, Cony of Augusta and host Morse of Bath on Friday, Jan. 6. The event saw the Panthers win one of three dual-matches.

The Panthers defeated the Tigers 54-12 and fell to the Shipbuilders and Rams, 48-27 and 48-21, respectively, in a high school mat meet.

The individual Medomak Valley results, with Panther wrestlers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Colby Hyde (8-4 second record, pin) was pinned by Jordan Douglas, Mor, at 0:28; was pinned by Noah Dumas, Cony, at 0:20; and won by forfeit over Gardiner.

113 points — Kenny Pruyne (6-4, pin) was pinned by Steve Recknagle, Mor, at 1:56; was pinned by Dylan Trevino, Cony, at 0:37; and won by forfeit over Gardiner.

132 pounds — Duncan Widdecombe (11-3, 5 pins) was pinned by Donovan Rector, Mor, at 2:54; and won by forfeit over Gardiner.

138 pounds — Steven Thompson (16-1, 7 pins) pinned Carter Ouelette, Mor, at 1:03 and won by forfeit over Gardiner. Duncan Widdecombe won by forfeit over Cony.

145 pounds — Steven Thompson pinned Jakob French, Cony, at 5:42; and beat Sam Stozier, ind, 15-10.

152 pounds — Eli Miller (14-3, 6 pins) beat Raz Baltazar, Mor, 10-3; and beat Jacob Arbour, Cony, 5-2.

160 pounds — Eli Miller won by forfeit over Gardiner.

170 pounds — Tyler Masonoff (6-4, pin) was pinned by Colby Gardner, Mor, at 1:05; was pinned by Kanye Bowden, Cony, at 1:17; and won by forfeit over Gardiner.

182 pounds — Elijah Lash (4-9, 3 pins) pinned Déja Douglas, Mor, at 1:56; was pinned by Aaron Lettree, Cony, at 1:46; and won by forfeit over Gardiner.

195 pounds — Amos Hinkley (6-5, 2 pins) won by forfeit over Morse and Gardiner; and pinned Bick Mills, Cony, at 1:40.

220 pounds — Eric Benner (11-2, 7 pins) won by forfeit over Morse; pinned Kaleb Caron, Gar, at 2:53; and pinned Nelson Bradley, Cony, at 2:17.
