Waldoboro — The Medomak Valley Land Trust invites the public to a paddle and picnic on the Medomak River estuary Thursday, June 26.

Paddlers will depart from Waldoboro village for a high-tide paddle on the upper portion of the estuary. The trip will depart from the Waldoboro Town Landing on Pine Street at 11 a.m., and will last about two hours. Paddlers will stop along the way for a bring-your-own picnic lunch.

This paddle is part of the Medomak Valley Land Trust’s walk and paddle series, which takes place weekly on Thursdays. Paddlers must supply their own kayak or canoe and wear a personal flotation device. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The paddle will be cancelled in the event of rain and notification will be posted on the MVLT webpage and on its voicemail.
